Saturday 8th August at 12 noon

 

Induction of our new Priest in Charge, the Rev'd Rachael Wright, at St James Episcopal Church,  followed by a reception in the Bruce Hall of Muthill Parish Church.   Everyone is welcome to join us on this special occasion and to welcome Rachael to her new post.  Rachael will also minister at St Kessog's Church, Auchterarder and she and her family will move into the Rectory there.

Sunday 9th August at 5.30pm 

 

Rachael will lead her first service of Evensong at St James Church - do come along to support her.


Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th September

Open Weekend

St James Church will be open for visitors, with special events and displays:

Local history of Muthill and St James Church, with old documents, pictures and photographs as well as church linens and vestments.

Flower Festival featuring the various community groups in the Village, especially Muthill in Bloom.

Activities for children, including bell ringing, craft and treasure hunt around the church

Refreshments all day

Music played on our Wadsworth organ as well as recorded contemporary songs -  plus Mystery Piper!

Special Concluding service of Evensong at 5.30pm on Sunday 27th September

ABOUT US

St James is the oldest Episcopal church in Strathearn. Taking the place of Episcopal meeting houses that stood since 1698, St James was built in 1836 by R & R Dickson of Glasgow and has been a site of continuous worship ever since.
